Robert Green Fine Arts, established in 1969, exhibits primarily painterly, abstract expressive work
by artists that thoroughly take advantage of the sensually evocative nature of color and form.

Many men and women returning from WWII were unable to verbally articulate the carnage they witnessed. Some of the creative amongst them used the evocative power of color and form to convey minute feelings and emotions. It was called Abstract Expressionism, Action Painting and parochially the New York School. It was first the truly “ Home Grown “art movement. It shifted the “ creative balance of power “ from Paris to New York and virtually opened the door for every other art style that followed.

The artists that we represent on a primary basis, such as Sam Francis, Paul Jenkins, John Grillo, Ed Moses are part of the rich history of the post-war years.
